Ben’s Liskeard is our 4th location in Cornwall, following in the footsteps of our award-winning Ben’s Plaice Looe, plus Ben’s Plaice Millbrook, and Ben’s Mevagissey. You can enjoy quality food such as traditional fish and chips, food from the grill and more, in our restaurant or to takeaway.
All our gluten free dishes are cooked in dedicated gluten free fryers. Although we can guarantee that no items with gluten are cooked alongside our gluten free items, it’s important we inform you that we do handle all allergens as well as gluten on the premises.

Yes, our menu includes food for those who are gluten-free, and for vegetarians and vegans. We have a variety of specials that cater to everyone’s tastes and dietary needs. Just ask one of our helpful team members and they will be able to point you in the right direction.
Can we book tables for the restaurant?
You can just walk in to the restaurant without a reservation, or you can call ahead to book a table. It’s a good idea to book in advance if you’re coming with a big group, or during busy periods, so that you are sure we can accommodate you at the time of your visit.

Yes, our restaurant menu will have the classic fish and chips you love, along with tasty options such as food from the grill, regular special dishes & desserts to make your taste buds dance. So, if you would like a treat, topped off with table service, grab a table and eat with us!

At Ben’s Liskeard, we are adamant that quality ingredients are the key to producing the best meals. We have always sourced our ingredients locally wherever possible, thus supporting the local Cornish economy and helping to reduce our carbon footprint.
We only serve MSC-certified fish, caught in a sustainable way (which is good for the environment) and mainly sourced from Looe fish market. Our cod is Icelandic – caught in ice-cold, deep waters. We fry the fish in our signature batter, resulting in a wonderful flaky texture with a light and crispy coating. Meat, sausages, and dry-aged steak burgers are provided by Philip Warren Butchers in Launceston, and our seasonal varieties of potatoes come from a local farmer in Downderry. Our mission is to serve you with exceptional dishes!

Our diverse menu is one of the reasons ‘Ben’s Fish, Chips & Grill’ and ‘Ben’s Plaice’ locations are so popular. We understand that traditional fish and chips, and menu items associated with a ‘chippy’ will always be welcomed, however, sometimes you fancy something out of the ordinary to satisfy your appetite. At Ben’s you can have both!
When available, there will be varieties such as Monkfish, Lemon Sole or Scallops on offer, or try our ‘Catch-of-the-Day! Items such as our famous chicken stack burgers, or cheese & onion fritters can appear on our ‘specials’ board, along with deals such as ½ kilo of southern fried chicken boneless tenders with large chips and special gravy. Also, check out our Lunch & Earlybird offer! We are licenced to sell alcohol, incl. local Cornish beers, wine, cider, and spirits.
